Coyote Buttes South

Surrounded by the beautiful formations that twist and turn and elongate dramatically over the lodgings of the sands and winds that transform it through myriad ages.

How smooth your surfaces, like waves on the sides of walls.  How lovely your solitude and that contrast of the blue birds that fly from tree to tree free in the wind against the mounds and the caverns, and the cool mint-like greenery of your vegetation, only to get lost far away in the deep blue of your skies.  Everything I need I can find here in this lovely solitude. These tiny trees grow with the pride of giant forests unaware that they are tiny, just like us humans.

Engulfed by the silhouette of your red dunes, your tiny precipices and your shrub forests, I feel surrounded and protected by the aliveness of your lovely solitude.
